Camping
The table below summarizes camping opportunities in the Mount St. Helens vicinity. Contact local Chambers of Commerce or inquire at information stations and visitor centers for additional camping opportunities. Forest Service campgrounds have links to additional information.
- Campgrounds can fill up fast. Making a reservation will guarantee you a camp site.
- Dispersed camping is permitted outside the Restricted Area.
- No fires are allowed in the blown down forest of the Monument. Plan to use a camp stove to cook.
- When fire danger is high, trails and access in some areas may be closed.
