Device Loan Center
WATR's Device Loan Center offers a wide variety of Assistive Technology (AT) for Wyoming residents
interested in borrowing a device for trial. Loan periods last 6 weeks and offer people the opportunity
to try devices so that they may make educated decisions regarding AT acquisition and use.
How do I use the WATR Device Loan Center?
If a person wants to borrow a device, there are only a few simple steps involved:
- Determine which device you would like to borrow. To check availability, you can either
call WATR at (307) 766-6187, e-mail WATR staff at watr@uwyo.edu,
or check online at www.wy.at4all.com.
- Contact WATR by either phone or internet and inform the staff about which device you would like
to borrow. Our staff will check to make sure that device is available.
- The Device Loan Center Agreement form needs to be filled out and returned to our office
(Note: You may fax us your signed Agreement to start the loan, but we require an original signed
copy be sent to our offices for our records.) These agreements are valid for two year from the
date of signing. (See documents below to print Agreement)
- Once we receive the signed Device Loan Center Agreement form, WATR staff will send the device
to the individual with an Equipment Checkout List and Loan Center Survey(s). Both the Equipment Checkout List and Loan
Center Survey(s) should be returned with the device on or before the 6 week due date.
- WATR staff will contact the borrower near the end of the loan period with a reminder.
- Return the device, Equipment Checkout List, and Loan Center Survey(s) to WATR office when due, or before, if you are no longer using the device so that others may try it!
If a person wishes to extend the loan, contact WATR offices within 5 days of
the due date of the loan. Device loans may be extended for up to 30 days provided that no one else has requested the device.
