GOV. RITTER TO SIGN SUNDAY LIQUOR SALES BILL ON... MONDAY
Gov. Bill Ritter is scheduled to sign the Sunday liquor sales bill into law on... Monday. Senate Bill 82 was sponsored by Sen. Jennifer Veiga and Rep. Cheri Jahn. It will take effect July 1 and it allows Colorado to join 34 other states that permit Sunday alcohol sales at retail stores.
The signing ceremony will take place at 11:30 a.m. Monday in the West Foyer of the Capitol.
Gov. Ritter also is scheduled to sign SB 163 at 3 p.m. Monday in the West Foyer. The bill, sponsored by Sen. Brandon Shaffer and Rep. Dianne Primavera, establishes a Colorado Autism Commission that will develop a 10-year strategic plan to address the needs of people with autism.
