With the DOJ approval of revised ATF Application for License Forms 7 (5310.12) Application for Federal Firearms License, 7CR (5310.16) Application for Federal Firearms License (Collector of Curios and Relics), and 8 (5310.11) Part II, Application for Renewal of Federal Firearms License, renewing licensees and new applicants who chose to do so may make their license fee payment via credit/debit card.

ATF will accept personal check, cashier’s check or money order or credit/debit card for the payment of application fees. The FFLC will accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or Diners Club. This new payment option has been available on a limited trial basis only for FFL renewal applicants, Form 8, since June 2004; however, with the approval of the revised Form 7 and Form 7CR, this payment option (effective October 14, 2004) is now available to original applicants as well.

Bank of America , P.O. Box 409567, Atlanta, Georgia - ATF's lockbox for application fees - will continue to process all licensing fee payments. Copies of the new forms will be made available to Field Divisions at a later date. The Trade Associations will be notified by separate correspondence.

Please note: Currently, the acceptance of credit/debit card payments for application fees can ONLY be processed through the Lockbox by an application that has been mailed directly to them. The Licensing Center and the Bank CANNOT accept credit/debit card payment information over the telephone.
