Cert Description
ACERT was started to provide both a CERT team capability response to the Ankeny, IA area. Another objective of ACERT is to provide support to the city's emergency preparedness programs in five specific areas - Emergency Operations Center (EOC), Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), Weather Spotting, Damage Assessment, Search and Rescue and Emergency Shelter Management. The group is staffed by volunteers and meets monthly for training and business meetings.
