Travel & Tourism

The U.S. Commercial Service has created the Travel and Tourism e-Market Express as an expansion of our partnership with the Office of Travel & Tourism Industries and in response to demand by the travel and tourism industry. Through the Travel & Tourism e-Market Express, U.S. travel professionals can request the most current international market research, trade opportunities and trade event information. In addition to the U.S. Commercial Service information, the latest reports and statistical information from OTTI are listed. All of this information is made available to U.S. firms to assist them with their international business development and marketing efforts.

The U.S. Commercial Service has staff in more than 100 U.S. cities and 80 countries abroad. The domestic and international staff work together to provide export counseling to U.S. businesses and destinations interested in entering or increasing their presence in international markets. Services include, but are not limited to, one-to-one counseling, market research, statistics, partner identification (i.e. outbound tour operators, travel agents, public relations firms, etc.) and assistance with international marketing efforts within the travel industry.

Office of Travel & Tourism Industries (OTTI), serves as the National Tourism Office for policy issues and as the core statistical center. OTTI publishes the baseline monthly and quarterly arrivals and receipts data, bi-annual forecast and analysis and the annual reports on traveler flows, expenditures and traveler characteristic data and profiles at http://tinet.ita.doc.gov.
