| Brief Description: Tigard CERT program was established in 2004 by the Public Works Dept. We currently have 75+ team members in all 4 quadurants of the city. Our goals are to establish proactive teams in every neighborhood of the city. We are always looking for new team members. All we require is a desire to be prepared and to help your neighbors in a time of need, so we welcome all persons. We already have a very diverse membership ranging from retirees, to high school students, stay at home mothers, college students, state and city employees, etc. We welcome all those who live and work in the city and even those from the smaller outlying communities surrounding Tigard. We work closely with Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue as well as the cities of Beaverton and King City. Not only do we conduct spring and fall basic CERT classes, we offer 6 monthly CERT enhanced training opportunities throughout the year.
