Cert Description
The C.E.R.T program falls under the City Department of Emergency Management and consists of community members who have an interest in helping fellow community members in the event of disaster. Primary responsibilites include management of the "Cold" zone and operation in conjunction with the Red Cross of our shelter system. At this time we have 43 members who will be trained and broken up into 5 teams. Many are trained emergency responders who have fire, EMS, Hazmat, and RN backgrounds.
