| Cert Description |
| The first 12 - 72 hours after a disaster is the most critical. The CERT program provides training in emergency preparedness and basic response techiques to citizens who in turn will take a active role in personal and public safety during such a disaster. CERT Members will reeceive 20 hours of emergency training in several critical areas. CERT Team Members are not intended to replace a community's professional responce capability but rather to serve as an important supplement to a communities emergency services. |
