| The UM CERT team is comprised of University of Miami students. The team was established to assist the University in preparation and recovery following a major disaster. The UM CERT also assists the surrounding neighbors of the University of Miami in preparing for hurricanes and following a hurricane by delivering bottled water and information to homes. The UM CERT's first recruit class was February 2006. |
