| Pasco County conducts a 7-week academy consistent with FEMA guidelines. Classes meet Wednesday nights from 630-930pm. During 2000, the inaugural year, four academies were conducted and 110 students graduated. Funding for the first year was provided by a competitive grant from the State of Florida Emergency Management Preparedness and Assistance Trust Fund. The Pasco County Board of County Commissioners is funding two academies during 2001. |
