Cert Description
Trained by the Coral Springs Fire Department, the City of Coral Springs graduated its first CERT class in June 2003. The goal of the city is to get its citizens involved with disaster preparedness by taking a proactive approach through education. After graduation, CERT Team members continue to meet and train on a monthly basis to keep their skills sharp and to learn new skills. Additionally, some members have completed the Fire Department First Responder class. The program has grown tremendously and new classes which follow the FEMA guidelines are started on a regualr basis.
