Cert Description
Golden Gate Fire Control and Rescue District's Community Emergency Response Teams began in 2002. The district has three active teams with more coming as residents create new teams within their neighborhoods. CERT members receive training from in-house instructors as well as instructors from Collier County Emergency Management and Florida Department of Law Enforcement. CPR and First Aid are provided by the fire district as complimentary training to CERT. Refresher training is held by district liaisons at team meetings.
