Cert Description
La Mirada CERT is a volunteer organization in the City of La Mirada dedicated to proactive emergency preparedness and response activities. CERT training is offered in conjunction with the Los Angeles County Fire Department, and is held at least twice a year. The next training is scheduled for January 13, 20, and 27, 2007 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CERT members participate in refresher meetings every other month. Additionally, La Mirada CERT has played an integral role in the annual Citywide disaster drill, performing search and rescue, triage, and coordinating with emergency responders in the field.
