Cert Description
The South County Neighborhood Disaster Preparedness project in conjunction with the Morgan Hill Police Department and Santa Clara County Offices of Emergency Services has been created to encourage citizens to prepare themselves, their families, their neighborhood for a major disaster. Our primary goal is to educate families and neighborhoods to respond and function independently of outside services for the first five days following a major disaster. This goal is being accomplished by organizing our neighborhoods into coordinated disaster teams that will be activated when the city and county emergency services are unable to respond to all the immediate needs of its citizens following a major disaster.
