Mission Statement The mission of the Union County CERT Program is to establish and maintain a well organized, well trained and well managed program for training and preparing the citizens of Union County to provide interim emergency assistance until emergency services personnel are available. Purpose The purpose of the Union County CERT program is to provide the citizens of Union County with the training to respond to an emergency that affects them, their family or their neighbors until emergency services personnel are available. The focus of the program is to train the CERT member to do the greatest good for the greatest number of victims immediately following a catastrophic disaster. CERT training promotes a partnering effort between the emergency services and the people that they serve.
