| Comprised of area leaders and concerned citizens, this group will serve as a support network for the county's first responders being ready to assist in a proactive or responsive manner according to the expressed need. The group's coordinator will help facilitate training for volunteers and help to educate area citizens about opportunities to serve the community and protect themselves and their loved ones before, during and after a disaster, accident etc. The CERT will work cooperatively with its members and Hertford County Emergency Management to ensure smooth and successful service to the community. |
