Cert Description
Newport CERT is the first CERT in Carteret County and now has 30 volunteers that have completed CERT training and 3 CERT instructors. The volunteers have a response trailer located in Newport. The Newport CERT trains on a monthly basis with additional training recieved in CPR,traffic safety, Incident Command System, and helicopter landing zone safety, with future training to be announced. The Newport CERT is a growing program that has become a major assest to the Town of Newport in just a short time.
