Training these two rural communities jointly would enable not only the training through CERT for their own communities but also camaraderie and a helping hand to provide each other during times of emergency or disaster. The CERT team can provide immediate assistance to victims, give critical support to first responders, and organize spontaneous volunteers at a disaster site The CERT teams are now looking forward to future training and exercises with first responders and other CERT teams.
