Cert Description
Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) are organized, trained, and equipped to perform many of the emergency functions needed in the aftermath of a disaster. CERTs coordinate their efforts with, and are intended to supplement the efforts of, a community's professional emergency response staff. Along with CERT training, community volunteers will be familiarized with other programs such as, public health, shelter and mass care, CPR and first aid.
