| Working closely with the American Red Cross, RSVP, and other agencies, the Concho Valley Citizen Corps Council will train local volunteers as CERT leaders and members to assist First Responder agencies in times of emergencies. They will also assist in providing disaster prepardness and education to thier communities in which they live. They will be trained by the American Red Cross in Emergency Response, Shelter Operations, Damage Assessment, and other disaster related courses. The objective of this project is to have a CERT in each of the 13 counties in the Concho Valley and to have disaster ready communities. |
