Cert Description
The Hamilton County CERT has four trained instructors and will be comprised of 5 squads. The squads will work major catastrophies as a whole, providing major emergency response support anywhere in the county. For isolated, less critical incidents, each squad will provide localized support, as needed. Team members will be trained in earthquake awareness, disaster fire suppression techniques, disaster medical operations, and first aid/management. Training emphasizes hands-on practice and concludes with a disaster simulation and a comprehensive course review.
