Cert Description
The McKinney CERT Program began in March of 2003 with eleven people. McKinney CERT has grown substantially over the last two years both in the quantity of trained citizens and the quality of the program delivery. McKinney CERT maintains a cadre of 14 dedicated instructors and trains its citizens utilizing a customized CERT curriculum. The McKinney Fire Department hosts an annual CERT advanced training event in which CERT Teams from across the State of Texas are invited to compete in both individual and team skill events.
