8th Annual Morris K. Udall Centers Director's Meeting
September 19-21, 2006
Hyatt Harborside Hotel, Boston, MA

WELCOME

The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) is continuing it's mission to reduce the burden of neurological disease. Parkinson's is one such disease that devastates thousands of Americans by progressively impairing the control of purposeful movement. The President of the United States Signed into Law on November 13, 1997 appropriations legislation that included The Morris K. Udall Parkinson's Disease Research Act of 1997 (P.L. 105-78).

Since this time the Morris K. Udall Centers of Excellence has continued to provide the best in basic, translational and clinical research adding new Centers including the Parkinson's Disease Data Coordinating Center (PD-DOC) at the University of Rochester which has already begun to centralize many data elements from clinical research from the Udall Centers and other related Parkinson's disease research.

The PD-DOC has once again arranged for the Udall Center Director's Meeting, now in it's 8th year and will continue to organize logistics and coordination of directors and attendees. We welcome and appreciate the work Rochester has put into managing and organizing this meeting and once again believe the Centers have exceeded our expectations to foster a research environment that enhances research effectiveness and we look forward to this year's meeting in Boston, MA.

The meeting logistics are being organized by the University of Rochester, for registration or any other questions concerning logistics please contact either Ms. Donna LaDonna via phone (585) 275-7937 or via email to donna_ladonna@urmc.rochester.edu or Ms. Sandy Plumb via phone at (585) 275-1034 or email sandy.plumb@ctcc.rochester.edu.
