On January 4-6, 2000 a Workshop including intramural, extramural and industry scientists, representatives from several Parkinson's
advocacy groups, and ethicists discussed an agenda for Parkinson's disease research, which formed the Parkinson's Disease Research Agenda.
Congressional Appropriations Committee Reports:
Every year the Senate Committee on Appropriations requests that NIH provide a report outlining the steps it has taken to implement
the Parkinson's Disease Research Agenda, a five-year plan developed by NIH in March of 2000 to enhance and accelerate Parkinson's disease research. This information
is included each year in the Senate Report that accompanies the Fiscal Year appropriations bill for the National Institutes
of Health.
