James E. Rogan, the Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, will talk about emerging issues at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) before 500 members of the Licensing Executives Society at their spring meeting. Under Secretary Rogan's address will cover a wide range of domestic and international intellectual property issues, including his plans for the agency and his work with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to reduce costs for American patent owners in obtaining and preserving their IP rights abroad.
