Note: Your individual account contains your personal information. To protect your privacy, please do not share your username and password with others.

To change your username

  1. Login to the AAM website.

  2. Select Edit Account (located in the blue bar near the top of any page).

  3. Click on Change Username on the left side of the screen. A window will open with the title “Change Login Information.”

  4. In the Username field, you will see your current username.

  5. Type over the information in the field with your desired new username. Your username must be a single word, without any spaces. It may be a combination of letters and numbers; it is not case sensitive.

  6. Enter your password information.

    If you want to change your password, enter your old password in the Old Password field and enter the new password in the New Password and Confirm Password fields. Your password must be a single word, without any spaces. It may be a combination of letters and numbers; it is not case sensitive.

    If you do not want to change your password, simply enter your old password in all three fields.

  7. Select Save.

To change your password

  1. Login to the AAM website.

  2. Select Edit Account (located in the blue bar near the top of any page).

  3. Click on Change Password on the left side of the screen. A window will open with the title “Change Password.”

  4. The Username field will be grayed out, meaning you cannot change this field from this screen.

  5. Enter your desired new password in the New Password field. Confirm this password by typing it again in the Confirm Password field. Your password must be a single word, without any spaces. It may be a combination of letters and numbers; it is not case sensitive.

  6. Select Save.

To update your profile information (name and title, organizational affiliation, mail/fax/phone/email address, etc.)

  1. Login to the AAM website.

  2. Select Edit Account (located in the blue bar near the top of any page).

  3. Click on the Update Profile link on the left side of the screen. A window will open with the title “View Profile.”

  4. To make changes, scroll to the bottom of the page and select Edit. Make changes as noted below.

To make basic name and title changes

  1. Make changes to the following fields as necessary: Prefix, First Name, Middle Name (can be an initial with a period), Last Name, Suffix, Informal Name, Title, or Functional Role. Select Accept (at bottom of page).

  2. As soon as you click Accept, your changes are saved to AAM's database. However, a View Profile screen will pop up. This overview allows you to double-check for errors and additional changes you might need to make. Either select Print, Edit, or Cancel as appropriate. Selecting Cancel does not affect your changes, which have already been saved.

To change your organizational affiliation

  1. Scroll down to the Organization Relationship section.
  2. In the Organization field, you should see the name of your current affiliation already listed.
    • If you are no longer affiliated with that organization and do not wish to specify a new affiliation, click Remove Organization and the organization field will now become blank.
      • Select Accept (at bottom of page).
      • As soon as you click Accept, your changes are saved to AAM's database. However, a View Profile screen will pop up. This overview allows you to double-check for errors and additional changes you might need to make. Either select Print, Edit, or Cancel as appropriate. Selecting Cancel does not affect your changes, which have already been saved.
      • AAM is aware of the need for an OK button and is working to fix this problem.
    • To change your affiliation, select the Change Organization link. Search for your new affiliation by selecting the appropriate radio button for either Name or Acronym and entering the text to search for (example: Florida or MOMA).
      • Press Search. This will bring up a list of search results. If your new affiliation is listed, click the radio button next to the appropriate name to select it, and choose Link to Selected Organization.
      • Select Accept (at bottom of page).
      • As soon as you click Accept, your changes are saved to AAM's database. However, a View Profile screen will pop up. This overview allows you to double-check for errors and additional changes you might need to make. Either select Print, Edit, or Cancel as appropriate. Selecting Cancel does not affect your changes, which have already been saved.
      • AAM is aware of the need for an OK button and is working to fix this problem.
    • If your new organization is not found, while still in the Search Results section, click Organization Not Listed. This brings you back to the Edit Profile screen. Either Accept your changes or select Cancel to exit the Edit Profile screen. Contact the AAM Membership Department at membership@aam-us.org or 202/289-9132 to report your problem.

To change your mailing address, fax or phone
number,
or email address

  1. Scroll down to the Addresses/Phones section.
  2. You may have a maximum of three addresses: Work, Home and Seasonal. Of these, make sure the appropriate radio button is selected next to the addresses you wish to designate as your preferred mailing address and preferred billing address.
  3. To change your information, in the Address Type column, click on the appropriate link for your Work, Home or Seasonal address.
  4. A screen will open with the title "Add/Update Address."
  5. Change your information as appropriate in the following fields: Address, City, State/Province, Zip Code, Country, Phone, Fax, or Email.
  6. Select Save.
  7. Select Accept (at bottom of page).
  8. As soon as you click Accept, your changes are saved to AAM's database. However, a View Profile screen will pop up. This overview allows you to double-check for errors and additional changes you might need to make. Either select Print, Edit, or Cancel as appropriate. Selecting Cancel does not affect your changes, which have already been saved.
  9. AAM is aware of the need for an OK button and is working to fix this problem.
