Celebrate 20 years of professional development
LEADERSHIP

2008/2009 Calendar

AAM's Professional Development Program, launched officially in 1988, offers tools for finding solutions to some of the most critical issues in the field. Seminars and workshops are held throughout the year across the United States, addressing the needs of museum professionals at all levels of their careers- emerging, mid-level, executive and beyond.

In 2008-09, look for our new, exciting and timely webcast programs on technology, the new Tax Form 990Excellence and Equity, Developing a Major Gifts Program, Preparing for Disaster and more! Programs are available in both live and on-demand recorded versions.

The newly enhanced and expanded AAM Career Café™ at the annual meeting is a great opportunity for museum professionals at all stages—emerging, mid-level, executive level and beyond—to design career strategy, hone communication skills, nurture professional networks and align mind, body and spirit. Workshops on resume writing, personal branding and public speaking; “A Day in the Life” sessions; Mentoring Roundtables and Idea Lounges; CEOs and Directors forum; jobHQ resources; Marketplace of Ideas; the Creativity Room; and a Life Balance Spa all round out the menu of the Career Café™—programs that were often SRO in 2008!

From optimizing job performance to increasing profitability, AAM professional development opportunities help you operate at the highest level. For more information, contact Greg Stevens, Assistant Director for Professional Development at gstevens@aam-us.org.
