The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aviation Insurance Program Office is providing coverage for the period of September 1, 2008 through December 31, 2008. The terms of insurance are the same as the policy currently in effect with three exceptions: (1) the premium payment dates have been revised to provide for a single payment based on the duration of the policy; (2) language has been added to clarify the definition of an air operator, and (3) Article IV. Prompt Notice of Loss, has been revised to more accurately reflect the possibility of a delay in the notification of FAA because of the uncertainty of the cause of an event.
