Jovian System Data Analysis Program
Ring Data at the PDS Rings Node
|
The
Jovian System Data Analysis Program
is sponsored by NASA's
Office of Space Science
to support research on the Jovian system, with a particular emphasis on
enabling research scientists to exploit the data returned by the
Galileo Mission.
Two instruments on the
Galileo Spacecraft
are gathering data on Jupiter's Ring System.
The
Solid State Imager
(SSI) gathers high-resolution images at visual and infrared wavelengths.
The
Near-Infrared Mapping Spectrometer
(NIMS) gathers multi-spectral images at wavelengths from 0.7 to 5.2
microns.
The
Planetary Image Atlas
of the
PDS Imaging Node
is the primary source for data from the Galileo SSI and NIMS
instruments. However, the
Rings Node
is keeping the complete set of ring-related images on-line from both
instruments. We also have all the related Voyager images on-line.
These pages will be updated as new images are released
by the Galileo teams.

Our
Galileo Image catalog makes it
possible to search the entire SSI database using constraints on target,
filter, exposure time, and viewing geometry.
