Serving the District of Minnesota

The United States Attorney's Office is responsible for representing the federal government in virtually all litigation involving the United States in the District of Minnesota, including all criminal prosecutions for violations of federal law, civil lawsuits on behalf of and against the government, and actions to collect judgments and restitution on behalf of victims and taxpayers.

The District of Minnesota is comprised of the entire state of Minnesota, an area of about 79,610 square miles. The capital of Minnesota is St. Paul, which is adjacent to Minnesota's most populous city, Minneapolis. Other large cities in Minnesota include Rochester, Duluth, and Bloomington. The total population of the District is more than five million people.

The United States Attorney's Office is located at 600 U.S. Courthouse, 300 South Fourth Street, Minneapolis, Minnesota. A branch office is located in St. Paul and is staffed by an office manager.
