Important Reminder to Federal Firearms Licensees on Revised ATF Form 4473

This serves to remind all Federal firearms licensees (FFLs) to begin using the newly revised ATF Form 4473 on, but not before, September 1, 2007. At this time, every FFL should have a supply of the new forms. Use of the revised version of the form is required beginning September 1st as the previous version will be obsolete. An “Important Notice” will accompany the initial distribution outlining the changes to the new form. If any FFL is not in receipt of the ATF Form 4473 revised May 2007, he or she should immediately contact their local ATF office.
