Interagency Delegation to Assess Economic and Reconstruction Needs in Georgia

Under Secretary of State for Economic, Energy and Agricultural Affairs Reuben Jeffery III is leading an interagency delegation to Tbilisi, Georgia to assess the economic and reconstruction needs for the country August 25 – 27. The delegation includes high-level representatives from the U.S. Agency for International Development, Department of Commerce, Millennium Challenge Corporation, Overseas Private Investment Corporation, U.S. Trade and Development Agency, Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, and the Department of the Treasury.

During the visit, the delegation expects to meet with senior officials from the Government of Georgia as well as representatives from the NGO community and private sector.
