Commemoration of the Tenth Anniversary of the U.S. Embassy Bombings in Nairobi and Dar Es Salaam

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Jendayi Frazer will deliver remarks to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the bombings of the U.S. embassies in Nairobi, Kenya and Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania on August 7, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Dean Acheson Auditorium at the U.S. Department of State.

Events in the Dean Acheson Auditorium are open for press coverage.

Pre-set time for cameras: 9:00 a.m. from the 23rd Street entrance
Final access time for still photographers and writers: 9:45 a.m. from the 23rd Street entrance

Media representatives may attend this event upon presentation of one of the following: (1) a U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver's license or passport).
