Clean Diesel Technology on Display for Fleet Managers
DTF member John Deere displayed the 624K 4WDL Loader at the Green Fleet Ride & Drive during the 2009 NAFA Fleet Management Association’s Institute & Expo. Conference attendees manage fleets across a variety of industries and although they were prohibited from driving the loader, Deere’s participation offered an opportunity for them to view and ask questions about the latest off-road technology. Learn more about new off-road equipment and retrofits.

Getting Federal Funding for your Clean Diesel Projects: Insights and Questions
Passage of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) in Congress has brought unprecedented ($300 M) funding for diesel retrofit projects, giving a significant boost to one of the most cost-effective clean air programs. Air quality agencies and metropolitan planners in areas out of attainment with federal PM and ozone standards are working feverishly with fleet owners to navigate through the expedited application timeline and the need to develop job creation/retention figures as part of their proposal. View quick tips and insights on resources and the applications process here.
Celebrate Earth Day 2009!
As we celebrate our environment, we focus also on the energy and climate challenges of the future, and the vital role for clean diesel technology. Through continuous improvement of diesel fuels, engines and emissions control systems, new diesel engines across the board today run cleaner than ever before. The sweeping transformation to clean diesel fuel and technology applies to all new diesel engines and equipment. And, thanks to industry leadership and collaboration with government and environmental groups, it also extends to an ever-growing population of existing engines and equipment.
