     • We have additional information that does not appear in the July 2008 printing of the Hawaii Driver's Manual. Please study this information before taking the driver's license knowledge test.

     • Warning! Do not leave children unattended. Hawaii law prohibits you or any adult passenger from leaving a child, under nine years of age, unattended in a motor vehicle for five minutes or longer. Leaving a child unsupervised in a vehicle can have tragic consequences, such as the child suffering from extreme heat exposure or injury when the car is stolen or when parts of the car, such as the emergencey brakes, power windows, and trunk releases , are used inadvertently.
