The HMDA Aggregate & Disclosure Retrieval System is a software package designed by the FFIEC to provide electronic access to the HMDA data submitted. The retrieval system is an example of the FFIEC's continuing effort to reduce paper and use electronic means wherever possible to provide information to the public.
The HMDA Aggregate & Disclosure retrieval system provides access to each lending institution's individual Disclosure Statement and Aggregate Tables covering the lending activity of all institutions subject to HMDA for each MSA. These data can be analyzed to determine if an institution's lending activity demonstrates that they serve the credit needs of the communities where they do business. In addition, the software includes options that will allow you to view Aggregate & Disclosure tables on-line, print hard copies, store reports for future reference, export data and much more.

The FFIEC HMDA Raw Data Software System is a Windows CD-ROM application that makes available all LAR and TS data reported by financial institutions. This system allows you to view, search, print, export data and generate reports using detailed selection criteria (i.e. Respondent ID, MSA, State, or County). The HMDA Raw Data Software System consists of 2 CDs containing data reported by financial institutions located in the United States and Puerto Rico. The LAR data are grouped on the CDs by state. Institution data are not organized by region; there is one Institution database. The institution data provides a way to locate a particular respondent by querying any single field on the institution search screen (i.e., Institution Name, Respondent ID, etc) or by any combination of these fields (i.e. Assets >50000 in Alabama). The agency code should always be used to retrieve the correct institution when performing a LAR search because there are institutions for different agencies with the same ID number.

This software enables you to search and retrieve, print, or export any of the census data used by the FFIEC in preparing the CRA and HMDA reports. The Census data can be used in conjunction with an institution's lending data to help evaluate whether the institution is in compliance with federal fair lending laws.
