We conduct geologic site characterization and evaluate geological and geotechnical condition, including:
- Emergency response to dam and other incidents
- Detailed soil and rock description, characterization and sample logging
- Evaluation of soil and rock slope stability
- Instrumentation consultation, installation and analysis
- Hazard analysis and risk assessment
- Foundation analysis
- Structural and discontinuity analysis
- Geologic mapping
- Subsurface exploration planning, implementation and documentation
- In-situ borehole and pit testing and analysis
- Cone Penetrometer testing and analysis
- Standard Penetration testing and analysis
- Specialized rope access mapping
- Foundation preparation, mapping, treatment, documentation and acceptance
- Characterization and assessment of existing groundwater conditions
- Planning, implementation, interpretation and documentation of groundwater investigation programs
- Close-range stereographic geologic mapping
- Computer-aided design (CAD) and Computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) three-dimensional modeling using GIS, GPS, photogrammetry and related databases for subsurface characterization, pollutants and other physical data
- Geologic consultation and interpretation for planning, design, specifications and construction
- Geologic analysis for rock mechanics issues related to blasting, grouting, borrow, seepage, dewatering, drainage, environmental restoration and other concerns
Our available services include a comprehensive suite of geophysical testing and analysis methods, geological and geotechnical field and office methods, CAD and CADD three-dimensional modeling and analyses of geologic and geotechnical conditions, and GIS database delevopment pertaining to geological properties. We also characterize sites for environmental restoration including the Yucca Mountain Project, a potential site for disposal of high-level nuclear waste. We perform work both domestically and overseas. Our expertise includes siesmotectonics and geophysics.
