Housing Division (CG-1223)
OUR
OBJECTIVE
The main objective of the Coast Guard housing program is to ensure
that all Coast Guard members and their dependents obtain adequate
housing within a reasonable commute of their duty stations. The Coast
Guard’s housing strategy relies primarily on community based housing,
using the Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH), and constructing or
leasing housing when adequate and affordable community housing is not
available. Housing for families and unaccompanied personnel should be
suitable based on size, commuting distance, quality, environment, and
affordability. |
