I am registering my support of PROWAC. I am totally blind. I have traveled both with a cane, and with a guidedog. Quite frankly, in recent years, I have become less comfortable traveling around my home area, and other areas I visit. All Americans, especially those who are blind and visually impaired, need all the help they can get in order to travel safely in their communities. We should have detectable warnings, and pedestrian signals everywhere. I can't help but wonder why people who have all their vision need only to look at a traffic light at a busy intersection, and people who are blind and visually impaired have to fight individually for pedestrian signals, and detectable warnings! It really makes no sense to me. I look forward to hearing some positive news on this subject.

Sincerely,
Joanne Rath
