The purpose of this Notice is to change an eligibility requirement for the Environmental Health Sciences Core Centers (RFA-ES-05-008) which was previously released October 7, 2005.

Under Part II, Section I, subparagraph 7(B), Environmental Health Identity and Impact of Research Base, the RFA states that “At the time of submission of a new or competing continuation application, any institution or consortium wishing to qualify for the EHS Core Center grant must have a minimum of five active NIEHS-supported research grants from four distinct principal investigators.” In order to phase-in this requirement, for submissions made in FY2006, applicants must document three active grants supported by NIEHS from two distinct principal investigators.
