Definition of Overdue Status Codes

DEFINITION

AE Admin. Offset-External The Bureau is in the process of offsetting money owed to the debtor by another Federal Agency to satisfy the debt.

AI Admin. Offset-Internal The Bureau is in the process of offsetting money owed the debtor to satisfy the debt.

AP Appeal Commissioner The debtor has appealed a Regional Director's determination to the Commissioner on a RRA Bill for Collection. Debt collection is suspended.

AR Administrative Review The debtor has requested an Administrative Review of the debtor (internal or external, paper or oral).

B Bankruptcy The Bureau has received notice of Bankruptcy from the court. Debt collection action is suspended.

DN Follow-up Dunning The Bureau is in the process of dunning. The first, second, and final notice of delinquency is being sent at 1, 30, and 60 days delinquent.

D1 1st Collection Agency The debt has been referred (the standard BOR follow-up process has been completed).

D2 2nd Collection Agency The debt has been referred at BOR's option after being returned from the debt collection agency.

FG Federal Gov't Debt The debtor is a Federal Government Agency.

FO Foreign Gov't Debt The debtor is a foreign government.

G Referral to GAO The debtor has requested a waiver for a debt which is over $1,500.00. The request for waiver has been forwarded to GAO for review and approval.

GS Referral to GSA The debt has been referred to GSA for further debt collection action (Airline Bills for Collection).

HB Health Benefits The unbilled debt for Health Benefits an employee is required to pay when the employee returns to work after being on Leave Without Pay.

IP Installment Payments The Bureau has agreed to allow the debtor to make scheduled payments.

IR Referral to IRS The debt has been referred to IRS for offset of income tax refund.

J1 Referred DOJ (Debtor) The debt has been referred to the Department of Justice for determination of further action against the debtor.

J2 Referred DOJ (Bureau) The debt has been referred to the Department of Justice due to litigation against the Bureau.

OW OWCP/Leave Buy Back The debt an employee has an option to pay if the employee decides to buy back annual or sick leave lost as the result of a Workers Compensation claim.
