HUD Environmental Guides

Manual for HUD Staff to Conduct an Environmental Review
Used By: HUD Staff
Description: This training manual was designed for the 1998 Orientation for New CPD Employees. The manual helps to guide HUD staff through the environmental review process and when necessary, the Request for the Release of Funds (RROF) process. Finally, the manual provides several links to other references on the Internet which may be useful in conducting an environmental review.

Sample Notice of Intent to Request Release of Funds
Used By: Responsible entity or Grantee requesting HUD funding
Description: This is a sample of the information that the responsible entity must either publish, or disseminate, prior to requesting the release of funds (RROF). This notification is precondition to HUD releasing funds for a project. While notification is required, there is no prescribed format for notification. This sample format is one example of a format which contains all the required information.

Sample Notice of Finding of No Significant Impact and Notice of Intent to Request Release of Funds
Used By: Responsible entity or grantee requesting HUD funding
Description: This is a sample of the information that the responsible entity must either publish, or disseminate, when preparing a combined Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) notice and the Notice of Intent to Request Release of Funds (NOI/RROF) prior to requesting the release of funds (RROF). This notification is a precondition to HUD releasing funds of a project. While public notification is required, there is no prescribed format for notification. This sample format is one example of a format which contains all the required information.
