As a citizen with Usher Syndrome Type 2, APS warnings are nearly a must. I am legally blind, but I have a mid hearing loss too, which I can not always depend on for clear definition of traffic patterns. I fell safer with these add ons to intersection safety. Can you really put a value on a life and say, it's too expensive to help a blind or deaf-blind person cross the street.
