My mother recently completed training in a rehabilitation center for the blind. She has learned the skills of blindness. I am a college student and have observed her determination to succeed. I am quite positive that no one wants or desires to be blind, however, this is the case for my mother. I m proud of her accomplishments at the center. She is now attending college and travels without assistance.

I am opposed to audible traffic signals because if one has to use these devices, then one loses a great deal of control of their environment. Blind persons who have been trained to succeed can travel without assistance in most situations. Those situations of course include assistance from fancy technology.

I oppose your opinion about tactile warning systems and audible traffic signals. As a sighed child, I know that blind people can succeed in life and will continue to do so without interference from the Access Board for years to come.
