What is SLAITS? The State and Local Area Integrated Telephone Survey (SLAITS) is a
mechanism that permits survey sponsors to collect data using customized
questionnaires and the National Immunization Survey sampling frame.
Because the National Immunization Survey contacts nearly one million
households annually, this frame can be customized to target particular
subgroups of the population.
When will the next
SLAITS survey be conducted? SLAITS is not an ongoing survey, and it is not conducted at regular
intervals. Rather, survey sponsors may implement SLAITS surveys at any
time. Typically, it takes at least 3 to 6 months to develop, program, and
test a new survey questionnaire before data collection can begin.
Where can I get SLAITS questionnaires?
Go to the SLAITS home page, click on the survey module you are
interested in, and you will find a link to
the questionnaire.
How can my
organization sponsor a new SLAITS module or add questions to a
future SLAITS module? If you are interested in using SLAITS for your own data needs, please
contact us. SLAITS surveys may be sponsored by Federal, State, or local
government agencies; educational institutions; or nonprofit
organizations. Costs are determined based on the length of the survey
questionnaire, the required sample size, and the target population. We can
