Advisory Council for Transportation Statistics

Since its inception, the Transportation Efficiency Act for the 21st Century has provided for an external advisory council to advise the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) Director as to the quality and objectivity of BTS data and analyses. The Advisory Council for Transportation Statistic (ACTS) is composed of six members appointed by the Director. The members are chosen on the basis of their expertise in transportation statistics, economics, and analysis. ACTS meets 2-3 times each year, in meetings that are open to the public.
