FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- Monrovia, CA -- May 5, 2005 -- Trader Joe's Company of Monrovia, California is recalling Trader Joe's Sun Dried Tomato & Pesto Torta, because the producer notified Trader Joe's the product was sent to stores without an ingredient panel. The product contains almonds and cream cheese (dairy). People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to nuts or dairy run the risk of a serious or life threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
Trader Joe's Sun Dried Tomato & Pesto Torta, a refrigerated dip, was potentially sold from Trader Joe's retail stores in California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico.
This product, with code "Use by 05/29/05", was removed from sale in all Trader Joe's stores. There is no product with this code remaining in Trader Joe's inventory. There have been no reports of injury or illness from this product.
