Inmate Lane Back In Custody
Inmate Jeffrey Christopher Lane who jumped out of a transport vehicle this morning is back in custody. Inmate Lane was arrested by Washington County Sheriffs with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service shortly before 5 p.m.
The Washington County Sherriff's office will be releasing more details.
Inmate Lane escaped from a transport van at Marine Drive and I-5 at 6:45 a.m. this morning. He was being transported from South Fork Forest Camp to Columbia River Correctional Institution.
Inmate Lane is serving a 30-month sentence for multiple counts of Burglary. Inmate Lane was admitted to DOC custody on March 16, 2007 and was due to be release in October 2009.
