A minimum-custody inmate today walked away from a 10-man work crew in the Florence Area. The crew from Shutter Creek Correctional Institution was working approximately three quarters of a mile south of the Florence bridge near Highway 101 when Jeffrey Scott Fisk, 41, was noted missing just before 12:00 noon.

Fisk is a white male, 6'01" tall, and weighs 180 lbs. He has a close-cropped black hair, brown eyes, and is clean-shaven. He was wearing a tan-colored, button-up, long sleeve shirt over a blue t-shirt; tan/khaki pants, a green ball cap, and black work boots. All clothing items had "INMATE" prominently stenciled on them.

Fisk was incarcerated in November 2005. He was serving time for Burglary II and Theft I convictions from Hood River County. Additionally he has a history of similar charges. His projected release date had been April 2009.
